Strong Signal Range – Responsive control from a comfortable distance.
Bluetooth: Connects to the Formuler box via Bluetooth for commands and voice.
IR Learning (optional): Some models can also send IR signals to other devices like your TV or soundbar (learned codes).
Bluetooth (BT):
Most modern Formuler voice remotes use Bluetooth to communicate with the TV box reliably without needing direct line of sight.
Bluetooth allows voice commands and button presses to reach the box instantly.
IR (Infrared) — Optional:
Some remotes support IR control in addition to Bluetooth.
This is used to control TVs, soundbars, or other IR-enabled appliances.
Often achieved via IR learning so one remote can mimic another device’s IR codes.
A remote doesn’t have a decoder chip like a TV box. Instead:
Embedded microcontroller:
The remote has a small built-in processor that
reads button presses,
manages backlight,
handles Bluetooth and voice mic input.
It encodes commands (button + voice) into Bluetooth packets.
Voice processing:
The remote captures voice commands via its mic.
But it doesn’t decode them locally — the voice data is sent over Bluetooth to the TV box/OS, which performs the actual recognition using Google Assistant or supported voice platform.
Handheld Size: Ergonomic remote with backlit buttons and premium matte finish. Specific lengths vary by model (not usually published).
Button layout refined for ease of use including directional pad, voice button, media hotkeys.
Battery Powered: Uses AA batteries (typically 2×) — included with TV box packages.
Low Power: Bluetooth remotes are energy-efficient; backlight drains more battery.
Programmable Hotkeys: Some remotes allow custom shortcuts for apps or actions.
Remote App Support: Formuler offers a remote app on the device to configure buttons and functions.
Universal Control: IR learning enables control of TV, soundbar, and other IR devices with one remote.
Air Mouse (on BT1 Magic Remote): Motion-based cursor control for easier navigation on some models.
